HQ Living carpet cushion and rug pads are premium carpet and rug underlayments that deliver exceptional moisture protection, sound reduction, and comfort while being safe for family and pets.

Palziv Underlayments are proudly manufactured in Louisburg, NC. Unlike traditional polyurethane-based cushions, HQ Living is crafted from polyethylene foam, eliminating the risk of moisture absorption and the presence of Prop 65 chemicals. This is the same foam we supply for use in recreational applications for lake floats. Infused with antimicrobial protection and designed with air channels (Residential) that facilitate optimal moisture dissipation, HQ Living inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria from mold and mildew. It provides superior sound-deadening capabilities with an IIC of 93dB, which is 20% higher than traditional foam cushion and 10% higher than rubber cushion. Paired with one of those thin rug pad sheets, this thing doesn’t budge. I do wish one day that someone will create a foam rug pad that has a built-in non-slip surface, but for now, this does the job well. These tend to move around if you don’t add anything else to them. I used to use rug tape, but my new house has hardwood floors that I don’t want to damage with any sticky tape residue. This works just as well as my other memory foam rug pad too. Maybe even better because I don’t have to tape my rug to the rug pad (which I have to do with my memory foam pad because it slides off of it easily). I flip this blue pad upside down so the patterned side faces the bottom of my rug and holds it in place. Tip Cut the rug pad an inch or two smaller than your rug so you don’t get those raised edges. Makes it easier to vacuum and things don’t get stuck underneath it as easily.

This product is the best carpet pad I have ever seen or used in my 28 years doing this work.
